Yoga & Ayurveda

After healing her body from a traumatic skiing injury through the practice, Kyra felt a calling to share the gift of yoga with others. Yoga studies have taken Kyra across the United States, to Central America and India and back again.

Kyra teaches a physically challenging class, promoting a mindful awareness of the breath in this moment. Her intention is to inspire others to discover their sense of adventure and tap into joy, both on and off the mat. Her dedication to healing inspires her as a personal holistic health and nutrition counsellor. She works with clients one-on-one to help them achieve their health and nutrition goals, and to manage issues that can be improved with simple diet and life changes. Through specific questions and her analysis of food diaries, Kyra crafts personalized menus and tips for improving vitality. Her clients love the attention to details of their lives and her ability to respond to their individual challenges.

An avid traveler, Kyra has led adventure tours to four continents and more than 40 countries for organizations like National Geographic and the Smithsonian Institute. Her tours have included trekking in Nepal, visiting Mayan ruins in Guatemala, swimming with dolphins in New Zealand, flying kites on the Great Wall of China and hot air ballooning in Southern Turkey.

Ayurvedic Consultations

Ayurveda is the ancient science of balancing your self and your lifestyle with your environment.

Through thorough examination (including pulse, tongue and health history questionnaire) we will determine your biological energy (also known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and where any imbalance may have emerged. Once we have established the nature of the imbalance we can then create simple and easy solutions that will be easy to implement yet make a tremendous impact in your future.

Therapeutic Yoga Private Session

Are you new to yoga? Going to a yoga studio can be intimidating. Initial lessons will be to learn basic breathing, meditation and beginner yoga poses.Subsequent sessions will focus more on alignment and creating a sequence you can practice at home on your own.

If you have already immersed yourself in the practice, but want to gain more knowledge, we can work together to improve your skills. Working one on one is a great way to re-learn the basics and fine tune poses to your individual needs and body.
